Popular Post Cat
So maybe that's why it took CGC so long to deal with it? Long enough for Bad Idea to sell them all off? Both parties are happy, and CGC gets to sound like they took action in the end? Juno Beach, s-dali, Sigur Ros and 2 others

They didn't sound like they took care of anything They made a statement far too late to make any sense at all Why they even bothered is more the question "We already have your money, what you want me to do?" That is where this is now Don't do it again! Naughty! Naughty! troydivision1, Beyonder123 and s-dali

Many of the Promise books were very generously graded, especially the books that sold in the first couple of Signature auctions on Heritage (and in the weekly auctions in between). Books that looked 7.5 or 8.0 were getting grades of 9.2 or 9.4 or even higher. Here are a couple of examples; there are many, many others. (Note the rat chews on the corners of the Mary Marvel.) Very interesting. Presume most (if not all) of these were processed as walk through due to being higher than $3000. Would it have been in CGC's (fiscal) best interest to grade as loosely as possible due to being able to charge 3% FMV? jimbo_7071
Coverless 9.8
I guess with CGC's request to Bad Idea not to sell the invisible books, it's a clear case of now you don't see them, and now you really don't see them! troydivision1
Bump as this hit the third page with still no response from CGC regarding the simple question: Was this the first time a company and / or person paid CGC® (Certified Guaranty Company®) for the exact grades they wanted / received OR is this the first time CGC® was caught?
