There are three possibilities. 

The story is true and the rubber stamp is real.

The book had the rubber stamp for who knows how long and someone found an exact stamp that appears to be very old and concocted the Tale of the Boy and his Stamp.

Someone found an old rubber stamp of a space ship that looks very much like baby supermans space ship from page 1 and desecrated the cover with it as a marketing strategy that most likely won't help the hammer price at all.
