Police Comics #21 from August, 1943.  SOLD

Purchased from one of the biggest and best on feeBay who typically under grades, but this one, not sure he got correct.  No one is always 100% perfect.

Here is original description:

Very Good condition with supple cream to off-white pages. Book would grade substantially higher if not for water damage; otherwise very nice. Heavy staple rust. Water staining to book along spine. Book was wet in the past, and some interior pages have some blue-ish staining visible in areas near the right edge mostly, but all stories can still easily be read.

Book is difficult to grade due to the staining, but it is really just too nice (aside from the staining) to call it any lower than VG.

-----

My comments, staple very rusted.  I'm going to call it 1.8 and ask for 1/2 what I paid.   $80

Sold to 50YrsCollctngCmc. Always cool do do business with an old school comic OG - I don't think we've transacted before?

No don't think so but happy to buy a sweet book to kick off the New Year. I'll be very tempted to crack this one to see the Jack Cole work inside.

Crack away.  Good stuff on the insides of Police Comics.  I would argue Plastic Man has the biggest gap between original popularity off the newsstand and popularity today of any GA superhero.  Some of that may in part due to lacking of "awesome" covers - if only Quality had used some of those splash pages as covers instead.

Yeah it is surely an unappreciated title!
