Hey, everyone, I've been considering doing CGC ratings, and found this forum recently.  I'm ready to start getting some pics of my collection up to see what kind of grades they'd get.  I'm waiting for my posts to get approved, but this is my second of three posts today.

A lot of copies of this book have like a raised crease (does not break color) running parallel to and near the spine. I can't really tell by the pics, but does yours?

I'm not sure how CGC treats it. It's common enough to perhaps be considered a manufacturing defect.

9.2/9.4 as is. Press to be safe and to 9.4/9.6.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I think you can kind of see it in the pictures near the spine.  I'm hoping it gets pressed out okay.

hopefully these are good pics,m.  I don’t know enough about how CGC views spine wear to know how bad this is.

Thanks for the pics.  CGC seems to have a thing these days for 'frayed spine' defects.  If a grader goes that route, this comic could be an 8.0.  If not, with a press, I can see a 9.4...maybe a 9.6. (thumbsu

Wow that's a wild swing!  Honestly, I've always been more concerned with corners and creases and other bends along the spine that I never even considered the actual spine itself as a possible spot for issues.
