Maybe a reprint rate. Did they do that back then? where had the non-subby stuff been printed before? i should know that.

Here's the MCS description, which only indicates the Subby stuff was reprinted: "Origin Sub-Mariner (by Bill Everett; 1st 8 pages were produced for Motion Picture Funnies Weekly # 1). Intro Human Torch (by Carl Burgos), Kazar the Great (1st Tarzan clone), the Angel (by Paul Gustavson), the Masked Ranger and his horse Lightning, and Jungle Terror (only appearance). 2-page text story, "Burning Rubber" (by Raymond Gill)." It’s basically a qualified grade by mentioning all the writing on the label and calling it a Pay Copy, why? Because if you or I took another 9.2 copy and scribbled all the same stuff on it, it would NEVER EVER be given a 9.2 grade. All the writing is basically being ignored by cgc as a historic piece of comic lore. It’s a killer book, historically significant but as far as grading goes, inaccurately graded unless treated as a qualified, moderately written on Pay Copy. Trace the Pay Copy writing that’s on the cover to a Spawn #1 and see what grade it gets from cgc! Amazing book. Indeed it is. The only thing that would be better was if it had an October date. Honestly, I'd take this copy over any existing copy and not because it's now a 9.2. It's probably the most significant historical find from the Golden Age. killerkomics
In regards of historical finds/books in the Golden Age, what other books would rank up there with this book. The only one that comes to mind, but there are others, is the Action Comics #1 Court Copy. Look forward to hear what else?
