ComicConnect non-auction sales are NOT reported

Hey folks. Posting here and on SA forum.  A big FYI if you generally use GPA to keep abreast of the latest prices on some key books.  Folks assume GPA reports ComicConnect results, which is generally true. But I have beein in contact with GPA for many months now alerting GPA to numerous instances where it did not include results from ComicConnect's fixed/best-offer (non-auction) listings.  The only reason I became aware of it (and informed GPA, which promptly updated its website each time--thank you GPA! @gpanalysis) was b/c i had saved the CC listing in my WATCH LIST and eventually noticed that GPA was missing many of those results.

For example, a Detective Comics #140 CGC 7.5 sold for a new record high of $55K on 2/14/22 in a non-auction listing on ComicConnect, but it's not on GPA (last recorded sale $40800 in April 2021).  Perhaps this link works for you if you are a registered user of ComicConnect:   https://www.comicconnect.com/item/944075

A JIM83 CGC 4.5 sold for a new record high of $20900 on 1/28/22 via non-auction ( https://www.comicconnect.com/item/946188 ), still not on GPA (last recorded sale is $13750 on 12/20/21).

A TTA27 CGC 4.0 sold for a new record high of $4200 via non-auction on 1/28/22 ( https://www.comicconnect.com/item/932659 ), still not on GPA (last recorded sale $3484 on in August 2021).

An AF15 CGC 3.5 sold non-auction for $48K on 1/14/22 ( https://www.comicconnect.com/item/943693 ), still not on GPA.

I can tell you that every instance I have reported (using the "contact us" option on GPA's website) over the past year ended up being promptly updated on GPA.  I was told it was a problem with CC transferring such data to GPA (i.e., it was not a canceled sale).  So I am assuming these missed sales are legit, too, but inadvertently excluded.

Sadly, I don't do watch list on ComicConnect that often, so who knows how many non-auction sales results have been inadvertently overlooked for all keys regardless of era all these months/years.  For now, the only way to catch them is for folks already registered with ComicConnect to track non-auction listings of interest, compare sales results to GPA, and inform GPA (and also boardies please!) of any errors.

Anyway, hopefully GPA updates its website for these and all other such instances on ComicConnect as appropriate, but GPA might need our help going forward while the CC glitch persists.  Especially for books that don't sell often, like Golden Age stuff, this info could be very important.

BTW, GPA kindly reminded me of their explanation for this situation.  I forgot that it's not actually a "glitch."  ComicConnect simply does not provide GPA with these non-auction sale results at this time.  So my proposal (that we report such sales to GPA) is the only way to have these sales reflected on GPA, in addition to whatever sales that GPA learns of on its own.  Considering how well books have done on CC's non-auction format (see recent examples above, and there were likely many more), I really hope folks can update GPA on such sales whenever possible, at least for the books they follow.   (thumbsu  Just be sure to send them the sold item link (after clicking the sold item from your Watch List) so that GPA can do what it needs to do to confirm.
