My name is Charles Armentano. After college, a buddy of mine and I hopped on a train to NYC looking for a freelance job. To my surprise I somehow landed at DC comics. After reviewing my portfolio the art director asked me to create an illustration for the LOVE 1971 comic front cover. That was over 50 years ago. Today I have created a recreation of that cover as a 24” x 36” acrylic painting on canvas. I am asking $6,500 for this painting. All offers considered.
