I bought this when the MCU first made the announcement in 2018. I should’ve sold last year during the boom. 🤦🏻

I used to have one of those in 9.0 before the hype.  After a while I decided to trade it for something else. I brought it to shows as trade bait.  I just about couldn’t give that book away. Of course I traded it for peanuts right before the announcement.

I was a big fan of Solomon Grundy as a kid.  Since All-American 61 is out of reach, I’ve been thinking about picking up a Showcase 55.  Another great purple cover & affordable (thumbsu

That's a great comic book.  One of my favourite Silver Age DCs.

Yes.  7.5-9.0 are rather "reasonable". It's a DC after all :)

One of mine as well.

BTW I do not feel the book is cold, just rather low pop 9.2 and higher

Books CGC Label CGC Total Avg. Grade 10 9.9 9.8 9.6 9.4 9.2 9.0 8.5 8.0 7.5 7.0 6.5 6.0 5.5 5.0 4.5 4.0 3.5 3.0 2.5 2.0 1.8 1.5 1.0 0.5
 1. Showcase 55 (3-4/65, D.C. Comics)
1st solo GA Green Lantern in Silver Age. 1st SA appearance of Solomon Grundy. Origin of Hourman

I submitted mine to CGC recently. I feel it's 9.4/9.6 candidate, still a 9.2 would not surprise me as that deep purple background is a challenge.

Like Kang,  there are multiple versions of him.  One of his superpowers is his superior level 12 intellect.    And he flies around in the coolest ship.  Imagine this on the big screen.

That would be cool. Kind of reminds me of a Quintesson from Transformers.

The ship did look cool, and intimidating.

At his worst, an android, alien super genius with a complete disregard for any organic life, there to serve his needs, at most.  The original version mimicked human emotions to ingratiate himself with the Coluans, but the robotic-looking 80s version was stone-cold emotionless.  Both, however, were focused on tyrannical, planetary domination.
