Popular Post Senormac Posted April 17, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) So a couple years ago, artboy99 and thehumantorch (because they knew I appreciated BWS), sent me a button from a large collection they had acquired. It was button # 44 from a late 70's series produced by PINBACK JACK (or Dennis Kitchen) of 54 comic artists of the era, underground and mainstream, with each artist drawing their OWN LIKENESS FOR THEIR BUTTON !!! A really cool idea, and a pretty wonderful piece of comic history IMO. I have since landed all the buttons in this set (although NOT ALL ARE ORIGINALS!! BEWARE !! ) and have been working on an idea to display them all, as a set, on one of my walls. Here is my progress. 1. All the buttons 2. 1 piece of sheet metal 3. Couple of magnets on back of button 4. Small, colorful, a challenge to find and you can have so many in such a small space. Most are “regional” so hard to find out of your geographical area. There are many that only just a couple examples still exist. My favorite are comic characters pre-1960. Although, many advertising, sports and political have found their way into my collection.
