Spiderman 3 or Spiderman 50 ? 6 6

Hi Everyone,

I'm in a bit of a quandary.

I have come into a bit of cash to spend on something Silver Age that I've long wanted. If anyone can give me some advise it would be greaty appreciated.

So here it is. Should I buy a CGC high grade Amazing Spiderman #50 or, an Amazing Spiderman #3 in grade 5.5 for the same money ? 

Only have enough to buy one. What would you recommend.

The 3 is rarer so I’d take that over an equivalently valued 50 (8.5). The 50 cover is purdier though.

I’d go for the 3.

Truth told, I’d just buy lower grades and get both, but that’s my cross to bear.

3 also.... but at 5.5, eye appeal is paramount. I've seen some fugly 5.5's. Be patient .... and be prepared to overspend for the right copy.  GOD BLESS ...

Not an easy decision, both great comics.  One has to be a better deal though?  Let us know what happens.

And I love 50 but I feel it is much easier to get and probably won’t climb out of reach as fast as issue 3 will over time

50 is my favourite comic book of all time but a mid grade 3 doesn’t come along every day. Go with your gut. As a collector, not an investor, which one do you prefer?

Agree with everyone else. #3!!! 

50 is one of the great SA covers of all time, so if that was your personal preference, I totally get it.

To me Doc Ock is by far a better villain/character than kingpin. 3 is what I would buy.

I'd prefer the 50 but as another poster said...go with what your gut tells you as a collector not investor. Maybe ask yourself who's artwork you like better would help? Ditko or Romita.
