toro Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 (edited) Is Disney's Moon Knight worth watching? I haven't had the time to check it out yet. Some Disney shows are great, some are so so. Edited April 29, 2022 by toro
theCapraAegagrus Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Honestly, it starts off well and then just continues to get somewhat worse with each episode. IMO, of course. bentbryan and toro 2
supapimp Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I see the crack option still exists Larryw7 and toro 2
lordbyroncomics Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 You can smoke crack regardless of whether you watch it or not. Just saying. I watched the first three episodes and liked it enough; this is all subjective- there's so many things people adore and love that mystify me because I think they're overrated and not that great and the stuff I like isn't that popular. So it's all dependent upon your tastes. I wanted to like some of the other MCU shows but I felt they were forced, boring. Give the first episode a try and see how you feel. toro 1
supapimp Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Honestly. It’s different. It’s trippy. Give it a watch toro 1
Lord Gemini Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 It's excellent. jsilverjanet, FrontStands and toro 1 1 1
shadroch Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I fell asleep part way thru the first episode. I'm going to watch it again . toro 1
ThothAmon Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I’m not exactly sure what I’m watching and that’s why I’m hooked. toro 1
MattTheDuck Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I've found it confusing but I have never read even a single Moon Knight book and know literally nothing about the character except that I stopped buying Werewolf by Night just before WWBN #32. I don't dislike it, it's just not very clear where the heck they're going. As others have noted, it's not much like other comics-based Marvel output. toro 1
Popular Post D84 Posted April 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2022 There should also be the option of drunk and on pot. Then I'd change my vote. toro, ThothAmon, bentbryan and 2 others 1 1 3
comicginger1789 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I think to understand this Moon Knight, you would need to have read Moon Knight in the last 20 years. There is very little outside of names and general concept that ties in to the original MK and his 1980's run. I watched episode 1. I liked it. Time has prevented me from watching more and I consider myself a big MK fan (having majority of his earlier appearances in comics across any and all titles before his 80s run). I want to watch the rest but I am more of a comic fan than movie/show fan to begin with so my free time is preferably spent reading, grading and enjoying physical comics is all. I shall assume that the confusion centers around the identity changing between Marc/Steven and potentially others, thus making it hard to know what is real, what is not and so forth. This is where I was worried how they would handle that aspect of the character...going for a wild and nonsensical show because they could just cover up anything with "ah it wasn't real, it was all in his head because he suffers from a multiple personality disorder".
Popular Post siro123 Posted April 30, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 30, 2022 Spoiler Alert It should be renamed Marc Spector show with a special small guest appearance of moonknight. Moonknight isnt really in the show. I want more Moonknight in the show. toro, Artboy99, BlowUpTheMoon and 3 others 6
MusterMark Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 (edited) Just a great, great show! Everything about it. (And Oscar Isaac in a tour de force performance). Edited May 1, 2022 by MusterMark

Beastfeast Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 Great 1st episode, watchable but annoying 2nd, unwatchable 3rd, mostly bad 4th, decent 5th, and we'll see how the 6th goes. Worth watching for Oscar's performance. toro 1
s-man Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 I confusingly got through the first four eps and then just stopped watching. I didn't dislike, just lost interest. Full disclosure though, I never read a single MK book. toro and CrocHntr 2
Xenosmilus Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 It will depend on the finale I think but up to this point it's a pass unless there is nothing better to watch. toro 1
