One of my Favorite artists. Very sad to hear of his passing. Had the opportunity to meet him several years ago at Heroes Con. I got Detective Comics 400 signed. Keep the picture of Neal, myself, and my son in the back of the Book. My son will get this book one day. One of my fondest memories  as a collector.

Kinda classy that he always wore a tie while working.   At least to my memory.

Thanks to the kindness of a fellow boardie (don't know if it's fair to out them without asking first) I'm now in the process of acquiring my first Neal Adams Sig Series book. Not a key, nothing like that, but it gives me what I want, a connection to the man whose work I've admired for so long. I'm thrilled about the whole thing and very grateful for the wonderful deal he's giving me. I know this is cliched and often used by nefarious types, but this truly is going into my PC where it'll happily stay for life, treasured and admired.

It's been awesome reading through this thread, hearing boardies recall their interactions with Neal and appreciation of his artwork and talent. I'll have to take a pic of my Deadly Hands 1 that Neal signed for me at one of the Big Apple shows back in the early oughts, before he started charging (not that I had or have any issue with any artist doing so).

As a kid, I could spend hours just looking at the art, the cinematic shot and perspective, always wondering "how can someone imagine this in his head and put it on paper?"  

My favorite Batman cover (the Belgium version that did justice to his art on this one):

wow, this Beglian/Canadian version of Batman 255 blows the American version out of the water. Thanks for sharing.
