The buyer is the one who keeps bringing up the accusation of color touch as he’s offended that he would be falsely accused of such a thing. While ignoring the fact that he blatantly lied to PayPal about receiving the book and having a working tracking number. 

I'm just happy we have a real scandal here.  It seems like it's been so long.

At this point, drop the claim with PP and don't reopen it.  That was the wrong thing to do. 

Allot of us are confused about if you have the comic or not,  but truthfully that's a moot point for this issue. What matters here is TC33 is whole and can put this mess behind him. 

 

I'm empathic to some of the personal challenges you are facing.  I sincerely wish you well. Having watched a love one face similar challenges, I can appreciate that things aren't always linear for some of us. 

I do think you deserve the HOS because this could have caused unnecessary damage to an innocent party. But in the grand scheme of life,  the HOS on an anonymous chat board isn't a big deal. Your health and well being is and I wish you luck

 sure, your buyer asked for the sale to be cancelled and then left that glowing feedback.  Face it, you're deliberately over-grading, you've been lying and you're still lying.  It's not my brain that's the problem.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying health issues of any kind as some kind of defense. It's too easy and too many people do it when they get caught.

It's not an excuse. You see it all the time in the courts...such a person does some horrendous deed then blames a disease or getting bad news or whatever.

I'm not being heartless, just sick of people either lying about illness or using it as some divine pass for wrongdoing.

Take responsibility, hold your hands up and stop insulting people who do have to deal with traumatic illness and don't use it as a tool for crime.

But most of all, don't do it in the first place, and definitely don't do it again.

It's amazing how getting caught brings out the sob stories.

Looking through the completed sales of all_star_comics on ebay, there are multiple copies of multiple high-profile books that have been resold multiple times.

Including CGC copies which makes it real easy to see it's the same book.

After reading through the pages of this thread, I've established 2 opinions.

One: HOS is a no Brainer here.

Two: @TC33is a Saint. I've sold many books here on the boards to many of you, and if somebody pulled this ish with me and tried to ruin my reputation AND steal money from me, i wouldn't be nearly as kind or benevolent as the Panther.

That there are. Seems like either he has the worst luck with npb or is shilling the expensive books.

This is already becoming mind numbing. 

 

Is the op made whole?  That is first and foremost.  And what is going on with the damage caused to his account by this debacle?  Did PayPal eventually free up your money @TC33 ?

Essentially I am made whole, I am ready to put this all behind me and move on.  The dispute is gone and my $2,425 has been released.   However after using paypal since the late 90s/early 00s with a perfect track record, they are now holding all my funds on new sales until the day after they can verify the item was received, (not shipped, freaking received).  Never before have I seen that in my life, so there must be some strike against me still dinging me from this and I still have to get them to fix that.  The customer service rep yesterday said she couldn't do it, its a system/computer function and put me on hold for over an hour to talk to a manager after which time I hung up.  Not the end of the world, I always deliver what I am paid for, but just a pain in the arse since I usually like to have those funds cleared before I ship and deliver.

In one sense, yes, you have the money for this particular book. 
 

On the other hand, the buyer’s fraudulent claim with PayPal has now negatively altered the way PayPal conducts it’s business with you for an unspecified period of time.  
 

For someone who sells and uses PayPal regularly, is that “whole”?
