Well, as time allows I'll be posting reports from Windy City this year.

THURSDAY

We hadn't been here thirty minutes before we received a cryptic coded message from an unknown Agent Provocateur!

Whirlwind set up last night (in a steady rain,  grrrr) and busy all day today. Finally got a chance to snap some pix.

Fourteen hours makes quite a difference.

It's been a fun show so far.  They're having the auction right now which has some really sweet pulps and other items in it.  We ran into @Surfing Alien  @mwotka @PopKulture @manetteska  and a couple other board members I'm forgetting (apologies).  It's a great room with centuries of knowledge and experience with Pulps, Paperbacks, Original Illustration Art, Comics, Magazines, Digests, Hardcovers, and much more.  Very mellow and friendly bunch of guys and gals and so much to look at.  A person could spend a lot of money in that room!

Looking forward to tomorrow!  Have to stop by @catrick339 and say hello again.

I saw this at the auction and, if you know me, I HAD to bring it home. An uncut proof sheet of the covers to Avon Fantasy Reader #5 & 6 from the Robert Weinberg estate. Two great covers from the run that must have been produced at the same time.

They work well together compositionally too with the tormented nekkid women arching in opposite directions.

I’m feeling that Giant Comics Edition, Space Thrillers and Brenda Star #4. All real tough books.
