Bluemedgroup
Heritage January 11-14 auction got some huge hitters! ASM 1 9.8 Curator Pedigree. I'm not sure if pedigree grade is counted as universal, but the census shows only 2 in 9.8. Highest grade, this should hit over a mil. Showcase 4 9.6 Highest grade, 1 in 9.6. That should hit a million, I would think. Last sale was $179k in 2009. Superman 1 7.0, 3rd highest grade. That's a $2 million book. All star comics 8 in 9.4. 1 in 9.4, highest grade. Last sale was $1.6 million, last year 2022. Interested to see if this goes down in price. Microchip

mjoeyoung
Does anybody know how the AS#1 went from a 9.6 to a 9.8? Unless I'm mistaken it is the same book as: The Amazing Spider-Man #1 Curator Pedigree (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages

Wow, so we're looking at a $30k spread at the moment, so depending on which way the wind blows on a particular auction, you might save yourself the price of a moderately nice small car. I think at this level, bidders are working with larger margins of error, so to speak. mjoeyoung and ADAMANTIUM

Sweet Lou 14
Seems like a good place to post this screen shot from an email I just received. I've never gotten an email like this before, so obviously it's a big deal (or an April Fools joke!) ... whatever they're teasing would presumably hit the 6-figure mark, and I would guess the 7-figure mark. Given all the big-ticket items Heritage sells all the time, I wonder what would justify a special email like this ... I think it would have to be an Action 1, or maybe a Detective 27 or Marvel Comics 1. Or, if we allow our imaginations to extend beyond comics to original art, I suppose it could be some piece everyone thought didn't exist any more. Take your guesses here!
