King Features published the first comic strip in January 1934. Since his creation, Flash Gordon has appeared in many more comics, movies, toys, games, and other strange media - ALL OVER THE WORLD! My personal collecting focus has been on the Flash Gordon work created by Al Williamson, and during my search I have run across some very interesting material. Ooooo! Dan Barry! Anti-smoking campaign? Did she just blow up that factory? Can't have it all "Flash", but "Hi and Lois"? What? And of course, you have to love local advertising (I've seen some great ads on these). I guess even though King printed pence copies, they must have under-estimated the demand for Flash? Derek had some difficulty even finding them!
