I do recall three unfortunate incidents during the early 1980s when LCS owners threatened physical harm to customers because, apparently, they felt the customers were too demanding and, thus, bothersome.

I, of course, took such opportunities to keep looking through all the copies of x, y, and z comic books to find the best 2 or 10 (15, 20) copies. Generally, back then, in my experience, LCS owners (and newsstands) did not care if you purchased every copy they had of an issue.
