I have never lost money on variant speculating. In part because I have never paid more than $1.

Not a fan on this one. The art isn't good enough IMO for the cost.

In the general sense he really isn't wrong. Only a very small % of variants increase and gain over time.

Love Sabine Rich's art, but there aren't many copies graded of the virgin variant let alone the trade dress variant and only 1 or 2 sales. Getting this graded would be more for your personal collection then an investment.

All valid 'general' viewpoints - depending on who's selling, who's buying, who's collecting, FOMO, price buy-in, price sold, profits expected, time sold, etc. and many other factors.

Bots are claiming alot of them. Online retailers are struggling to contain that problem. 
This part of the market is ripe for a problem soon.
