Hello,

If I have a book already slabbed and graded; can I send it in for a signature signing event? I certainly wouldn't feel comfy trying to remove it from the casing myself.

Thank you,

Rich

Hi Rich,

Thank you for your message.  Yes, you can submit books that were already graded and encapsulated by CGC for a private signing event.  If the book had a regular Universal blue label, you could crack it out yourself if you wanted but you can also leave it in the holder and we can crack it here.  If the book is already a Signature Series label, the book must be submitted still encapsulated in the CGC holder and we would crack it out here in order to keep the Signature Series label.  There is a $5 fee to crack out books that are encapsulated. You can include your own window bags with the books and we can put the books into those bags once we crack them out of the holder.

Please note, that once the book is cracked out, the original grade is no longer valid and it is possible for the grade to go down.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  Thank you!
