Bought the 4.5 at my 2nd San Diego con, upgraded to the 7.5, then to the 8.0.  The 6.0 came because I thought it was a good deal.  I still have all of them plus another 6.5.

 

Bought the 6.5 from Howard Rockman in the 1980s and had it raw, saw the 7.0 in an auction and snagged it then saw the 8.5 in a different auction and snagged it.  Still have all three.

I'll toss one more in here to support my good friend the OP.  I bought this raw copy in probably 1973 or early 1974 - one of the first several dozen comics I bought after becoming a "collector."  It had rusty staples and migration when I bought it (so you can tell how much attention I was paying to "quality" in my books in those days) and probably cost me 30 cents.  To be honest, what I was collecting was covers - I didn't open a book until I got it home to read.  This is also one of the first slabs I bought (in this case from ComicLink).

Sort of my thought also.  It's as if he's impacted his head while de-accelerating on an invisible wall.   Or perhaps it was a bad job of coloring.

That could be a collecting focus on it's own - Fight comics with red mastheads.

The colors on the 3 fights are not faded. It was caused in the printing process. FH was extremely cheap. Copies with the brilliant reds and other colors were printed early in the run. The “faded” ones were later in the run when the ink fountains ran low on ink. Often varnish (cheaper) was added to finish the run.

I have often, downgraded a technical grade for a copy with a better color strike and maybe a little lower technical grade.

Not as dramatic as @Robot Man's books, but here is an example of a Fiction House book that I bought in 8.5 and then "upgraded" to a 7.5 because I liked the colors better.
