Can mailing labels be removed from Magazines without causing damage? 0

Is it possible to have them professionally removed without causing damage to the magazine? If so, would it be considered restoration? I'm going to the National Show Card which Julius Erving is attending and was thinking about getting the Doctor to sign a Sports Illustrated I have - but the mailing label bugs me.

goo be gone will take them off, but practice on some cheap magazines before doing it on one you want to keep.
