As much as I love Antarctic Press and am glad they're finally getting some attention, I think some of these speculator rushes are just scams.  This isn't a Sailor Moon comic, it's a news/reviews magazine in comic book size (since about issue 14).  It might be neat to have an early US appearance, but it's not much different from collecting Wizard or Comic Shop News, as far as I can tell, except you can trick people who will never open it into thinking it's a comic.

I have almost all of this Mangazine run, and it's a great resource for news and opinions from the time period, especially the retrospective articles by Shon Howell about his time with General Products USA.  The hype building around the Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z issues is just from speculators who raided dollar bins and launched a "pump and dump" campaign.

Now, the Leeanna and Dog Supreme short story in issue 28 is something worth looking for!

I certainly agree with your assessment. It is curious though that someone would consider paying that much what would be considered only an article.

Playing devil's advocate here, it's still a Sailor Moon cover on an English comic-format book, four years before Mixx Zine 1.

True. I guess someone really wanted it. It is a pretty hard comic to find in good condition since many of them ended up in dollar bin boxes or were actually *GASP* read!

It’s not unlike Comic Reader where characters can be seen before their debut issues

Just unpacked these last night from a drop-off at Baltimore Comic Con on Halloween weekend... adding these 15 gives me a total of 86 of the original 0-175 issue series in 9.6/9.8!  Add in the additional continuing numbers and my few 9.4s and I'm over half way there.  I have just a few more in the pipeline at CGC, and the hunt for high-grade raws continues!

Too long since anyone's posted, so here's one of my recent returns.  As I remember the story, this was supposed to be "NHS goes to the movies," with parody stories based on popular movie franchises, but the printer wanted to experiment with 3-D printing, so gears shifted and here we are!
