Can I request to only have subgrades applied to certain grades and not on others? 2 2

I want to submit a bulk batch of pokemon & marvel cards in for grading but only wish to receive subgrades on cards graded 9 and 9.5. I do not wish to have subgrades on any cards graded lower or on any that may be graded as Pristine. Can this be requested upon submission or is it that I either do it or I don't?

I am not aware of a prescreen for subgrades.  Also, all pristine cards automatically get them.

Pristine or Perfect? I sent in bulk without subs and only got subs added to my Perfect 10, not my Pristine 10's.
