What is going rate in 9.8?  A 9.6 sold for $90 in Aug.  Reprint of a classic cover with low population seem fair but it was a Buy-it-Now so probably go for less if regular auction.

I love those reprint books. A  a child I recall them populating the quarter bins of my LCS in the mid 1980's. They were my first exposure to many 1960's Marvel Covers and stories.

Those 1979 reprints (TTA, X-Men in Amazing Adventure v2 and Fantasy Masterpieces V2) were thought to be "junk" books for decades -  so probably a bit hard to find in high grade?

You know that kinda makes sense, for 9.8 copies. But I just paid 15$ for a lesser grade. Tales to astonish 1 (Beats me what grade it is and beats me why I bought it)

The 1968 original has gotten more expensive.  I know, what hasn't.

I sold my copy a while ago, but it was a 'placeholder' for a while for the SM 1 original.

Reprint of Submariner #1 (1969ish) Why is this a pricey and/or key book?

All the reprint books are rising in price as the originals are completely out of reach for most.  Marvel tales 137,138, and few others command quite the premium in 9.8

Subby hype cause he’s joining the MCU per the Black Panther 2 movie trailer?

It's been a long running hype, or I first noticed after Stan's passing. Seller offered, believe it or not, a 9.4 1st print ss by Stan for only like $600. I bought it, but they did not send it, claimed since his passing that it was too low, literally messaged as the reason why they didn't mail it!

Of course that was submariner #1, idk what's up with the reprint other than the 1st print is too high in value. :sorry:

Original going up in price.

No second printing so the next thing is a complete reprinting years later.

And sometimes the reprint covers look better.

Like strange tales 89

I'm not sure if the reprint is worth more money now, the original is very pricey.

I just love the bright red cover better.

Maybe a better looking reprint cover can play a factor in too with price on the secondary market?

So what is every POS book that's a 9.8 = Big Money.

Fantasy Masterpiece #1 seems like Big Money

Tales to Astonish #1 seems like Big Money

Amazing Adventures #1 seems like Reasonable Money

I still can't grasp the concept of a book being 9.8 (REGARDLESS OF BOOK) = BIG MONEY

I like this book because they use the original cover and not the published cover. This is why Jean Grey looks weird on the cover of X-Men #1.

yeah on the published it looks like shes just mindless dancing  in the background :) i also artistically prefer the background coloring on this one.

AAv2#1 cover I saw long before I ever did the X-Men 1963 #1 cover - although the mid 80's it was pre-internet/WWW.
