It is worth the risk, as long as you are happy to get back a lower grade.

If you’ve weighed the pros and cons and done your own research, and found that the benefits outweigh the risks for your personal situation and preferences, then yes.  If not, then no.

I don't think Todd would sign those Crain covers, it says he won't sign Parodies, which I'm assuming include the homages.

Maybe in the case of the Spider-Man Covers, but in the case of the Venom I believe he will sign. Since he co-created the character he signs pretty much any venom cover other than the few hidden gems we refuses to sign

I say, send in all of them.

Crain books are easy to come by. If it comes back a lesser grade, sell it, buy back your 9.8

But aren't those Crain issues just facsimiles, so the interior is still McFarlane's work?
