Rookie questions on copic art

Anyone have any experience owning pieces done with copic markers? The medium is outside my wheelhouse, and while I know they're not archival, I saw this and was a bit  surprised at just how fast this piece started fading.

Does anyone have any experience owning a piece done in comics? If so, how do you store/display it, and is the kind of fading above typical?

My suggestion would be to take your original and either photograph it or scan it at high resolution and make a print of it to put on display. Take the original and put it away from light. If I had spent more than $100 on a copic piece, this is probably what I would do. At least then, when you decide to part with it or whatever, it's not faded from display.
