Must get Stray sometime.

A relaxing polar opposite to Elden Ring.

I remember when the original came out for the PC .... spectacular puzzles and visuals. Some of the stuff rivaled RayTracing images I had seen not long before it.

Earthworm Jim, Sim City 2000, Breath of Fire, and Earthbound for the SNES.

I sold off all my old games and consoles (PS3, PS4, and Gameboy) in order to afford the PS5....at retail price thank you very much. lol

I sold my copy of Earthbound to an online video game buyer for about $120!!!  I remember that game being a lot of fun. (thumbsu

I got my butt kicked badly for a long time at it…. But If you play it for hours a day for 6 months straight it gets easy… there’s a few spells and builds that trivialize almost every encounter.

There are so many different weapon/move sets and strategies you can try out with it and I found it had tremendous replay value (much more so with going with a complete reset vs the new game plus modes).

PVP was too much for me, 90% of players employing the exact same builds and tactics, Metabuilds the kids on the wiki pages call em.   PVP got boring fast.

Easily my favorite game of 2022 though despite the shortcomings in story and characters.  It’s a beautifully done kill everything and become king kinda game.

I've definitely appreciated The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, Baldur's Gate, Wizardry 8, Fallout 1/2, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and the Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Each of these games have exhibited traits that truly makes the video game experience one that should not be forsaken in a lifetime. Whether it's stat systems that spew out intriguing scenarios (Baldur's Gate for combat and dialogue, Wizardry just for combat/dungeon crawls), wonderful storytelling (RDR2's depiction of the slow decay of Dutch's gang, the Witcher's incorporation of fantasy and political intrigue in a nice intermingling), experiences of different worlds altogether (Morrowind full stop. The Interplay Fallout's exquisitely written worldbuilding whether it be Vault experiments, Junktown, the faction motives. The talking heads also are frickin' brilliant.), or just stupidly good fun (Kombats, the original DOOM).

PS4 and PC are so far the most commendable platforms I've found so far for gaming.

Not as hard as Dark Souls and the environment is beautifully done.  It took me months to explore (most) everything and then I went through the main story and beat the game.

The first game I played on PS5 was the Mass Effect Legendary Edition PS4 remaster, which was fantastic. Easily my all-time favourite RPG.  To be fair though, I'd never played Mass Effect 1 (which was 360 only for a while and eventually had a terrible PS3 conversion) and it also included a lot of DLC which I'd never played before. Sometimes, as with PS5 Demon Souls and the earlier PS4 Dark Souls remasters they can be worth it, those especially to overcome frame rate issues.

I am currently playing through the trilogy for the first time. In the middle of ME3 right now.

It’s pretty awesome.

I wandered around in that game for so long.

Not quite the relaxing wandering like Ghost of Tsushima but still wandering.

And getting beat like a drum by literally everything.

I took a break when I got beat down by some random animal at the beginning. lol

Great game!!!

It is my favorite.

I have a Jin Sakai statue coming at some point from Prime 1.

I imagine a sequel to Ghost will be out before I see that statue. lol

There is a lot of random animals that can beat you down!  Bears are the worst, especially the monster bears that are quicker then you on your horse.
