Resending a recently graded comic for pressing

2 posts in this topic

I recently submitted a comic for grading without pressing and it was graded an 8.5. The grader notes were "spine stress lines break color" and "light bends to cover". I was thinking about resending the comic to be pressed and graded again, but what I noticed after reading about color breaking is that pressing might not help any defects that break color. In your opinion, is it worth the time any money to have this done?

Hello,

Thank you for your question. Pressing can benefit the eye appeal of comics. Unfortunately if the damage sustained breaks color the damage will still show evidence on the book. Because of this, pressing may not help your book in question. Let us know if you have any other questions.
