CCS Resto removal Question

6 posts in this topic

I submitted books with Slight A/P work to CCS for removal.  It did not charge me for the CGC grading afterwards, but I assume it goes from CCS to CGC for grading after right?  Do they create the invoice for me and hand them back off, or contact me after completion or resto removal to make sure that I want them graded at CGC or what? Obviously I want them CGC graded, but don't know how this process works from CCS to CGC exactly.

might as well get some peace of mind by contacting CCS/CGC in my opinion.

Did you submit it for grading in addition to the restoration removal via CCS?

Kind of expected it to give me that all in one option, but it didn't.

CCS would not know to send the comic(s) to CGC unless you also had an invoice from CGC. I'm not sure of all the ins-and-outs of this process with the submission forms. If I was you, I would call CGC to see if you have any options (extremely unlikely). My guess is that you will have to simply submit to CGC once you receive your CCS submission back, if that's still what you want to do.

So CGC said this is normal.  CCS will hand deliver to CGC after removal for grading and they will invoice me for grading at that time.  It is assumed that all books submitted for resto removal are to be graded after, why else would you do it, right?
