Got a call from a local guy today. I guess he had to tell somebody.

This sale was today. He made a call last night and the lady said come on over and sold him some nice GA. He didn’t say how many books were there but there were a couple of doozies. How much? Take a guess based on these pictures. I imagine there were a bunch of VERY disapointed flippers this morning…

And yes, a real decent Action #4 peeking out from under those old movie mags.

The buyer wanted to make sure I checked out his eBay auctions on Sunday.

Now, if you will excuse me, I think I’m going to lose my lunch…

Damn! Always a spoon shoot. You drive to bumfk Egypt and there are 10 dealers there out bidding you.

I always did better pre internet with ads at the laundry mat or newspapers.

Best collection I bought was in an ad in the Farm Bureau newspaper. 3 hour drive but all first issue Marvels in about 2.0. Think I sold them here!

Got these a few years ago. Saw the listing and it was on my way to work so I thought what the heck and stopped in.

Of course there was a line. Walked to the front and starting chatting up the #1 guy. Of course he was there for the comics.

We got along well and he told me he only wanted the 2 Supe and Bat books. He suggested I just go in with him and he would hand me the rest which he did!

He paid the lady and left. So I walked around and found a couple other things. When I went to pay she said “Oh, I forgot about these” she pulled out a small pile about twice this many. So I bought them all including a couple Bat/Tec issues with Joker covers. Funny thing. She thought the Comics issue in the center was the best one because it was a #1.

So, sometimes the comic Gods smile down upon you.
