marvelmaniac
Edge wear w/ small creasing and some color rub, blunted/dented corners with color breaks, minor to moderate spine stress with color breaking spine ticks, moderate spine roll w/fanned pages, slightly discolored staples, minor to moderate foxing on rear cover. IMO... 6.0 FINE (FN): Back to TopAn above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with no significant creasing or other serious defects. Some accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear apparent, with minor to moderate creases. Inks show a significant reduction in reflectivity. Blunted corners are more common, as is minor staining, soiling, discoloration, and/or foxing. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. A minor spine roll is allowed. There can also be a 1/4" spine split or severe color break. Staples may show minor discoloration. Minor staple tears and a few slight stress lines may be present, as well as minor rust migration. Paper is tan to brown and fairly supple with no signs of brittleness. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. Centerfold may be loose. TC33
Strong 7.0 if not for that staining on the back cover spine area which looks like it might go through to the interior front as well. CGC hates stains, I would like to say they should only hit it to a 6.5 because it still presents so nicely, but they might deduct even further for those stains, perhaps 6.0 or even 5.5 on a bad day but still deserves at least a 6.5 IMO. There are some pro pressers out there that have techniques to minimize (absorb) much of those stains without full liquid immersion (NO cover cleaning note and if it comes out well you should be able to get it back up to 7.0) PeeBee
