Panda2
Hi everyone, I just picked up a couple of raw ASMs through HA Sunday auction https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/the-amazing-spider-man-135-marvel-1974-condition-vf-/a/122311-13078.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/the-amazing-spider-man-149-marvel-1975-condition-vf-/a/122311-13079.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/the-amazing-spider-man-134-marvel-1974-condition-vf-/a/122311-13077.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 that are attributed to the Kane Collection. Curious as to whether anyone knows what this is? The best I could find in the interwebs could be this: https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/bcnews/news-archive-2011-to-2015/chronicle/2014/features/boston-college-students--exhibit-shows-comic-books--historical--.html but wanted to know if anyone had more information. Mostly out of curiosity as I had never heard of it. Many thanks in advance! Panda2

Jaylam
I noticed a lot of those books have a fair amount of tanning and browning around the edges.
Dick Pontoon
Yes, and some of the listings noted tanning and others didn't. I saw enough listings that mentioned it to make me skittish.
Robot Man
Never heard of them. Do the books come with a story or COA? Probably, a marketing ploy.
Dick Pontoon
Heritage tags various collections which are in their weekly auctions but do not provide any info about them, unlike the big ticket featured signature auctions that have catalogues. I find it slightly irksome that they'll name a collection but not bother with any provenance, even if it's as simple as an average collector who bought books secondhand. I doubt this collection has anything to do with Gil Kane since he's been dead for decades and if the books were his I'm sure they'd go out of their way to mention that fact to drum up interest.
