wytshus
This is the place to request that scores in the CGC Registry competitive scores be evaluated. You may have slight disagreements with scores, but some of those slight disagreements just boil down to a judgment call. What we're looking for here are clearly incorrect scoring examples. When making requests, please use full title of the book and publish date, also, certificate numbers help immensely. Start with the key issues that you feel need the attention the most. Please avoid requests like "Update all scores in X-Men (1963)." Please note: Scores are loosely based on Fair Market Value. CGC does not set prices for comic books in the open market. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Comic scores do not equate to market dollars. A more valuable book will in most cases receive more Registry points, but its score is not directly correlated to its value. The algorithm is also designed to enhance and encourage competition in the Registry by reducing extremes in value differences between grades and categories. For this reason a very valuable book may receive fewer points than might be expected, or a relatively common book will receive more points than might otherwise be expected. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If it is determined that a score needs to be adjusted, it will be scored according to Overstreet Access' 9.2 value. Also, please focus on single book. For example, Upgrades that are under valued in points, not 700-800 books that need to go up one point. *Posts that have been edited after the original posting date will be skipped and not revisited. Meaning, if you add more to your request at a later date, I will not fulfill it. Your request will be ignored and you need to resubmit your request. In short, don't try to skip others. Make a new post for your new requests, don't add to the old one. ***If the score simply has a “0” just PM me and I will fix it.**** Thank you for your patience and participation in the registry! Gotham Kid
Hi, as I had mentioned to you way back via PM, pls increase scores for Detective Comics 36. Grade for grade it has less points than Detective 37. 36 has 1st Hugo Strange, 37 is last preRobin. Also 36 will mostly sell for more than 37 in any grade. Thx for considering. Scores adjusted for #25 and #37 per Overstreet Access 9.2 wytshus
chaddesden33
Hi Brian Assuming we're going to benchmark future registry scores against Overstreet 9.2 values then I've identified a number of books where there there is currently a variance of circa 50% or more between registry 9.2 points and current Overstreet (Volume 52) value in that grade. As such I'd be grateful if you could review registry points on the following books. Many thanks for considering. DocGo
Hello, I think the Bartcode variant for Simpson Comics #1 (1993) should have their scores increased (example cert #2686635005). According to my records, they consistently sell for 4 times what the regular cover goes for so I would multiply the current Simpsons Comics #1 score by 4. Unfortunately, GPA never made a note about which sales were for the Bartcode variants until CGC included the multipack label last October. There have been two 9.8 sales in the last year for unmarked Universal Bartcode variants in 9.8: $796 on 5/30/22 (0002617015) and $835 on 3/5/23 (3856876004). Regular versions in 9.8 generally go for $125-$175 in the same time frame. There have only been two sales of marked Bartcode variants: 8.0 Signature Series for $200 on 1/2/23 (2725533010) and 9.0 Signature Series for $300 on 1/7/23 (2725533011). I’m fairly certain that Overstreet won’t have a 9.2 value for this multipack variant so I thought this data would help. Let me know if you have any questions or if I missed anything. Thanks! All variants for #1 show as 40 for 9.2 in Overstreet. I have adjusted the score for that variant and the first run issue accordingly. wytshus
Violent-Delights
Score adjustment for individual books in Something is Killing the Children (Complete) The following books are due for a score adjustment based on rarity, desirability, and market value. I have put them in order starting with the books that are most in need of a score change (in my opinion). #1 ALA Midwinter Edition, 2020 - 3902953001 #6 Frison Sketch Cover, 2020 - 3755713010 #8 Variant Cover, 2020 - 2612672001 #1 Black Cape Comics Edition, 2019 - 3712605015 #1 NYCC Diamond Retailer Edition, 2019 - 2653294002 #1 New York Comic Con Edition, 2019 - 3730931008 #3 Second Print, 2020 - 3828075023 #7 Variant Cover, 2020 - 3730466015 #11 Lee Sketch Cover, 2020 - 3777712025 #11 Simmonds Variant Cover, 2020 - 3755713006 Those are the biggies. Please let me know if you need me to add anything. Thanks for considering them. js Scores adjusted per Overstreet Access 9.2 wytshus
celluloidbuff
Really minor one here, and I truly think it was just a typo. Could you look at the score for Star Wars (2020) #30 Action Figure Variant Cover? It's currently listed as 12 points when other blue label 9.8 action figure variants from same collection usually are given 32 registry points. Have a small screen shot to show comparisons for comics around that issue. Yup, that was a typo. Fixed now, thanks for letting me know. wytshus
GeeksAreMyPeeps
The scores for Static #44 (DC/Milestone) are significantly lower than all of the surrounding issues. https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/SlotScoreDetail.aspx?SlotID=249701 Score adjusted per request, that was another typo, heh. At the moment, the score for the multipack is exactly the same as the regular edition but you did increase both. I was hoping the multipack would increase to the current score with the regular edition staying the same (was 70 for a 9.8 signature). Thanks! I do not have access to weighted scores, only Universal. Can you take a few screen shots of the weighted score table for that issue? Also, keep in mind that I am no longer basing Universal Scores on auction sales. wytshus

I just wanted to demonstrate that the Bartcode version of the book should be a higher score than the regular edition and suggested that it be about four times greater. You increased the scores for both books to 40 points at 9.2. I think the previous score for the regular edition of Simpsons Comics #1 was 10 points at 9.2. I suggest that you change this one back to 10 at 9.2 and keep the Simpsons Comics #1 Bartcode score where it is right now (40 at 9.2). Also, the Bartcode edition of Simpsons Comics #1 does not exist in the Bongo (Complete) set. Please add it when you get a chance. Thanks for all your help!
