I do not believe it was unreasonable for me to ask you cover shipping charges on a sale that has a no return policy. I believe we both have some fault in this sale. I lost money from PayPal fees and shipping supplies and more importantly it took a significant amount of time to get you packed up and shipped out. So asking for some assistance on the shipping did not seem reasonable, especially on a sale that had a no return policy. Unfortunately, you have kind of screwed me by making this public. We should have kept this matter private a bit longer. With that said, the damages of you making this public have already been done and until you are able to rectify making this public I will need to stay firm on my most recent return decision. I do hope/believe we can find a way past all this and look forward to hopefully moving in that direction. Thanks. a no return policy does not absolve you from misrepresenting or changing the condition of a sale. Argument is weak. Based on your first reply to this matter, this will not bode well for you in the end. You have a chance to make this right and honor the refund today as some posters above mentioned with a 330 dollar partial paypal refund. If you do that I will gladly close this thread down, will let everyone know you made it right, AND I will also make you another offer. I'll be at Motor City Comic Con, Heroes Comic Con, and am in heavy negotiations with the Mrs to be able to attend Fan Expo Chicago (and maybe Baltimore, but I don't want to push my luck!) If you can attend any of those shows this year I will offer you my hand in friendship and we can squash this thing once and for all. Totally fine if you don't ever want to do business together, offer of a handshake still stands. jsilverjanet, Loading..., WolverineX and 13 others

It is very unreasonable to ask a buyer to cover return shipping for a product you did not ever ship to him. Your losing money in PayPal fees and shipping supplies is a problem on your end in so far as your bad business acumen compounded by either pulling a "bait and switch" or trying to reneg on the deal as you were packing the items up readying them for shipment. You claiming damages for making this public is like the murderer or a drunk driver crying foul because they posted his mugshot in the paper. My heart fricken bleeds for you. Get off the keyboard suck it up and make your deal right. We have all made mistakes when selling. The difference between those that are here and those that are not is that those that remained honored their word and learned how to do better then next time. Seriously. He screwed you? You screwed yourself. Beige, Larryw7, Timmay and 18 others 20

Asking the buyer to cover ALL the shipping costs is not “some assistance”. It is unreasonable to expecting the buyer to cover all the shipping costs when those costs amount to $100-200 and the issue is YOU failing to deliver what you agreed on originally, honor the original refund offer YOU made or send the rest of the books YOU originally promised. He paid for product and what was being offered by this seller. Skow did the right thing in making this public too. He presented it to peers humbly and opened himself and the purchase to public scrutiny. BlackOut21 do the right thing by Skow and either take the return and refund Skow in full or give him a substantial partial refund for the LONG BOX claim. Thanks. I can think of one way past this... Matt didn't do anything wrong in making this public. This is the course of action to help settle disputes. You have every right to defend your position as well. My advice is the path of least resistance. You all agreed to a reasonable outcome. It seems like that got held up because of a personal frustration that have nothing to do with the transaction. My advice is to move forward with the agreed upon resolution and put this to bed. And, I'll be honest... mistakes happen and mystery boxes cause mysterious problems, which is why they aren't allowed. If you make things right, I would still buy books from you and I'm sure others would too. It's really about showing the community you'll work to make it right and follow through. Popular Post jimjum12
This seems like a variation of the "mystery box" marketing dynamic, which makes the 'not as advertised ' argument difficult to flesh out. I've sold to SkOw multiple times and have even had to make the occasional concession when warranted. He's definitely not a chiseler looking for his next angle. Unfortunately for both parties, 190 books is just barely more than HALF of a packed long box. I would be annoyed as well and would feel hustled. Since it was clearly stated as "no returns", the only recourse is a Paypal reversal for not as described. According to my calculations, the payload was short by approximately 25% if the long box is sparingly assessed at 250 books per. A reputation is worth much more than 300 bucks, I would chalk it up as a lesson learned and make this right. As for making it public, there's no shame if nothing shameful is done.
