After trying for 4 issues they finally published one of my letters, the first time I've ever been published like that, but also the only time I've ever tried.

I tried it once back in '91 and got published in the pages of Wolverine. It's hard to beat that feeling when you open up the letters page and see your name.

Congrats on your 1st comic book appearance. (thumbsu

I was fine with Sparky, just don't understand how what happened as a result of what he did.

Yeah, it was weird. Plus how the Matrix got that big that quickly.

Transformers #7 pulled me in right away.  I don't want to give away much until others get a chance to read it, but there were plenty of spots I did a double take when reading.  It is a very violent title, like Generation 2 levels of violence and robot "gore" but this issue was hitting me different and left me in anticipation of #8.  The stuff on Cybertron, to the Starscream-Soundwave discussion, to the Autobots licking their wounds from the last few issues was all well done.  It's a strong start to the second arc.

The Energon Universe Free Comic Book Day issue was a great tease of the things to come! Is Void Rivals going to be TF centric in the near future? Kind of seems that way. Also, what of that Baroness reveal? And of course some 'Con sure is angry!

Yeah, I've had that Brawn page for months now, it still didn't make it hit any softer in the final product.

Spoiler

Goodbye Brawn, we never even got to know you.

No, I wish. It was going around the net for a day or two, then it disappeared. I had no idea what it was from though. I'd simply saved a copy of it.

For anyone interested the Transformers volume 1 trade paperback collection is now available. It collects issues 1-6 of the ongoing comic. It features 2 covers, a Direct Market and a ?comic shop outlet?. I went with the Direct Market cover, just because I already had the other image as it's cover A for issue #1. I think the other cover might be the B cover? Not sure on that one.

Read through and it was just as good. Although I noticed

Spoiler

there's a corpse in the Ark coloured like Brawn, who as we saw recently died before then. If he's tough enough to survive a wound like that, I support him. Go Team Brawn!

The Transformers volume 1 tpb came out last month and went straight to the top, hitting the number 1 place on the charts according to ICV2. Fantastic to see, and hopefully we've picked up some new readers out of it.

For those who missed it it contains the 1st 6 issues of the series, at a price of $16.99US. There are 2 different covers available for the book, both featuring Optimus Prime. I think, going off my horrid memory, they were covers A (I'm sure of this) and B (I think this) of issue 1. Both are great covers, so there's no loser when it comes to the covers.

Enjoy!

For those who haven't been paying attention to creator news, we knew that the writer/artist was DWJ, with Jorge Corona taking over art duties with issue 7, and DWJ remaining as writer.

We didn't know who was next, only it seemed  unlikely to be DWJ, just going by comments he'd been making.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the writer of Transformers from #13-24 will be..... Daniel Warren Johnson he's resigned  for another year!

A major title announcement has been made today: a GIJOE ongoing series. Yes, it's finally happening. It first hits the shelves in November.

Here are pics of the 2 standard covers we're getting. Variants to come later. Does anyone know who the blonde sniper for COBRA is? We know she shops at Spider-Man's tailor...

There was a 3 3/4 action figure for a blonde female Cobra officer (as well as a diverse group of female Cobra troops) that I had not too long ago. She wore the standard blue uniform but I'm wondering if her story got expanded upon in the comic. She didn't have a name on the file card other than Cobra Officer.

2016 female Cobra Officer, Toys R Us Exclusive, 50th Anniversary, Alpine, 2014, Cobra Trooper

Is it funny that when I 1st saw this image I didn't realize they were standing on Soundwave and Optimus parts? Looking forward to this series and how it will link to the TF series (and maybe Void Rivals?)

I still can't work out the COBRA cover. I can't help but see Soundwave's arm with the wrong hand on it.

And yeah, at first I thought Optimus was part of Sideswipe's chest.

Congratulations to DWJ and co, they won TWO EISNER Awards last night for Skybound's Transformers. Congratulations, team.

Thanks for the TF One update, Addy. Was NOT expecting Steve Buscemi. I just can't 'see' it in my head, so I'll definitely have to wait for a trailer that features him in action, so I can get a grip on where he's taken it.

If your shop orders through Lunar Distributors (easy way to tell, do they stock new DC Comics? Then they do) they'll be receiving a special SURPRISE variant free, of #11. This book has already shot up to $100-$200US online, as fans go in a frenzy chasing down their own copies.

I've got my copy set aside for me, luckily, for a price I can live with.

For those that want to see it, here it is below, spoilered:
