Popular Post Dr. Love
From HA's current Illustration Art Sig Auction some notable results from digest covers, especially the Valigurskys, which I didn't see coming there was also a Schomburg 1954 dust jacket 21X15 piece from the Schomburg Estate that fetched $32,500 Surfing Alien, frozentundraguy, Pat Calhoun and 2 others
Dr. Love
also there was a McCauley piece that got no bids. Available on HA's site for purchase. HA had an estimate of $6,000-8,000. Of course, not in the same league as this GGA type piece below that went for nice bucks in 2019. But it's also been four years since there's been a McCauley original on HA. For it to go unsold, is, to me, shocking. PopKulture, Surfing Alien, Pat Calhoun and 1 other
Darwination
That Eye of the Temptress is really good in my humble opinion. I'm watching the rest of the auction now. I don't own a single piece of pulp art, but in an auction like this, I could easily find some great lesser known and unappreciated pieces that would look great on the wall - even if it's a wall my wife doesn't have to look at Dr. Love

Popular Post Surfing Alien
Some more Friday Fun on Saturday... I like the little run of Fate with the painted covers until about 1959. This one with GGA & music, pretty cool. To answer the question... only when I'm trippin' comicjack, Pat Calhoun, Darwination and 2 others

Darwination
New one. I was hunting Matt Baker art and found none. But who cares, Chandler, a blonde in red on the cover, and a bunch of other solid authors (even if it's almost all reprints) I can't ID the cover artist, but it's likely gonna be somebody who featured on Manhunt as well... comicjack, frozentundraguy, OtherEric and 1 other
Popular Post frozentundraguy
No top authors in this digest, that I'm aware of, but some of the artwork is very well executed. Dr. Love, comicjack, OtherEric and 3 others
Popular Post frozentundraguy
1953 was a very good year for Leah Bodine Drake whose macabre talents for writing poetry flourished in the September 53 issue of Weird Tales. Darwination
On my doorstep today, not mine, but a couple of issues from a crowdsourced buy in a scanning group. Pretty nice, I don't think I own any Manhunt this late. Cover artist on both is Tom O'Sullivan per the contents page. I'd never even seen issues with cover credit given before, also lots of artist signatures in the illos which I hadn't seen before either. Good for the artists to get a little credit for the success of the mag, too. Found nothing on O'Sullivan but the scribbly style is kind of neat. Saw Ric Estrada inside. These will show up at the Internet Archive in the near future PopKulture and OtherEric

Darwination
Arrived today, bundled in packing tape and a cut up brown paper grocery bag. Endearing only because it's a Manhunt Surfing Alien and OtherEric
Darwination
A new one, a Buy It Now that popped up on Christmas. An easy pickup with half of an eBay Xmas gift card. I knew I was excited about the Ellison and the cover (any ID?) but the suspected and confirmed bonus is all Matt Baker illustration. The second time I've managed to pair Ellison with a Baker illustration (both Everett Arnold pubs).
