What do you consider High Grade

I say minimum HG is 9.4, regardless of era.

 

Well, except for moderns confused-smiley-013.gif

If you start making exceptions for moderns because they are too common in 9.4, then you also have to make an exception for older material because they are too uncommon in 9.4.

 

I'm not one of these lawyer-types, but it seems to me that the argument of having exceptions for some but not for others wouldn't hope up very long.

When people are willing to spend 3 to 4 times and above off guide, I consider it a high grade.

 

Seriously

 

SA 9.0 for keys, 9.2 and above for everything else.

 

BA 9.0 for keys 9.4 and above for everything else.

 

MA 9.6

 

This formula is how I collect, though 9.2 bronze is usually good enough for me. 9.0's are still not HG, but they are when you can knock off a couple hundred bones off the sale price. When I collected Golden age, 8.0 was high grade but I often thought 6.0 was minimum grade I would collect.
