The ULBC hurts what might otherwise be a 9.4. I can't tell the severity of the bend, but I'd say it's probably a 9.0 now.

 

A little spot press will take care of that back cover bend.

If we're talking about what CGC would give it, I've seen worse bends on 9.0s. Bear in mind that CGC typically goes easier if the bend is a) on the back cover and b) in a white area where it is not as prominent.

 

Not all bends or creases are created equal. Effect on overall appearance factors into the equation.

 

IMO, an otherwise near perfect book with a 1/2 inch bend (NOT crease) on a back corner could easily be a 9.0.
