Yes that is correct, it is detached. I should have mentioned that but I forgot.

Too bad. Looks like an 8.0 otherwise.

 

Typically any book with a popped staple I drop into the VG range. Since it's a nice looking book, I'd give it the high end of VG, so, VG/FN 5.0

4.0 because of detached staple, i don't think it could be a 5.0 or 5.5 with a so important defect ,
