Hi everyone,

 

Without getting into a detailed history of DC greytone covers, I thought it would be interesting to have a thread where we could get a full listing of DC greytone covers.

 

There are so many great titles that featured greytones - from Peter Panda to Strange Adventures to all the DC war titles.

 

If you've got greytones, post 'em!

West is correct and there are other GA comics from other publishers that used a greytone effect.

 

Even coming up with the list of greytones for DC that are post SSWS #45 isn't that easy as there are multiple greytone techniques and varying degrees of usage of those techniques on comic covers.

 

In any event, here's a cover that i consider to be a greytone.

Yeah, in fact at DC that's how Jack Adler, who was the head of production, referred to them.

 

I just call 'em greytones though.
