Hey That one is nice...Front cover nice...

 

That front is a NM man. Nice square corners, no real spine stress. That crease on the upper back corner though, hurts it.

 

Personally, unless it is a tear, massive fingerprints, or something just gnarly, I don't care as much about back cover defects.

 

I would say that the back cover problems knock this down to a VF/NM 8.5/9.0, though some may say that a crease of that size is only acceptable on VF 8.0 books (even though it is on the back cover).

 

IMO, I would buy it as a VF/NM 9.0 and would have been happy about it.

Is the long line a scratch or crease back cover? I like VF+ 8.5 with the bonus that the book can be bagged and boarded and look NM- 9.2 or better.

8.0 at best. There a friggin' scratch that spans over half the cover in length!
