That looks nice! must be more resto though, an issue of that age can't be that good....................can it? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

"The only thing that i can see that has been done to the book is there has been some paper reinforcement done to the cover and centerfold. No restoration, No color touch up, No repaired splits, or anything else that i can see."

Sounds restored to me. I'd consider this book an apparent VF. No telling what it was beofre the reinforcement. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

This shop is actually in Mason City, IA. I've been there, they have [!@#%^&^] for back issues with the exception of a few keys and this major key. If I had to guess I'd say this is from that original owner collection they found called the "Hawkeye" pedigree. I've seen the book in person, it's pretty nice. It is slightly restored IMO, due to the reinforcement. I didn't actually see that as he wasn't "opening it for the public". I guess it'd be a VF on the G.A. scale, IMO it was more of a VF-. The miscut (not to mention slight restoration) and his original asking price was enough to make me pass on it though.
