Really a presentable copy you have there.

 

The spine is a little fuzzy as often seen on these thick issues but over all it's really nice looking.

I'm really leaning more towards 7.5 but I can't tell if the crease at the top corner on the back is a printers crease or corner crease.

The one on the side in the middle is definitely a printers crease and would not effect the grade at this level.

TO clarify my reasoning for an 8.0 as I'm sure I'll get

This cover has way too much ink transfer and shadowing for me to go up to an 8.5 or a 9.0.

 

Take an eraser to that back cover in the white areas and then you've got an 8.5

Thank you for giving me your grade on this one Buffyfan. I hope it can pull a solid 8.0. I find more and more that I know very little about grading, so I welcome other members opinions.

I agree! Solid 7.5/8.0 range for this one. Very similar to your other Marvel Tales #1 in terms of the few flaws and many positives.
