Straw-Man
lovely 7's. dd stars on the two best mmms covers, imo--this'un and ff 39. the latter has the coolest stamp placement. another great one is two-gun kid 75, an alamo cover. aszumilo
At Amazing Comic Con Las Vegas, Red Hood Comics had a DD #1 graded 9.8. It apparently came from that Detroit collection. It was absolutely amazing. I should have gotten a pic of it, but, i wasn't thinking. Only 3 graded that high. They said they were offered $550k for it and turned it down. I'll keep that in mind, but as it stands right now, there are only 3 graded higher than this one (2 in 9.4, 1 in 9.6), so the likelihood of me upgrading is rather slim. I DO have this copy as well, but need to keep it for my raw collection.
Popular Post southern cross
Just upgraded my DD 7 from one of my lcs. Only took way over a decade. The first DD 7 I bought off eBay in the early days of ebay. The copy on the left is the new raw upgrade. I think personally issue 7 is the second most important issue in his run. First red costume designed by Wally Wood and the first time the grappling cable is used from his billy club.
