showcase4
both of these books sold for exactly $5,175. The Subby has "2 small pieces of tape on the centerfold" and "slighly brittle pages". Which one would you choose? ............or
Scrooge
Subby #
thedude
All-Star #1 for me, no way do I do Brittle pages ,
thedarkknight
I'd have to go with All Star 1. I get worried when a book has brittle pages. Even in a CGC holder.
Comicdey
All Star 1...even though subby's the cooler book...no way on the brittle pages if I ever wanted to crack it out and read it.
Scrooge
Not all brittle page books can't be read. For free, I'd still take the Subby over the All-Star # 1. Bad investment, maybe ... but I'd still be happier with the Subby # 1.
Point Five
I was thinking the same thing...Subby would be my choice. I hate brittle pages on books too, but to own a Sub-Mariner #1, "slightly brittle" would be well worth the gamble. Just look at that cover! G.A.tor
hello all... AS 1 due to page quality...I have no problem with light tan/cream on older GA...but brittle is "plod" for me rick
TheEyeSees
"Slightly brittle pages"? OK then, I'll take a chance on Sub-Mariner. I could live with slightly brittle.
