Greggy showed me this last night. I'm hoping that the discoloration is a scanner effect. The seller is going to send me a high resolution scan before I pay.

This reminds me of when I bought my first ASM #129 in the mid-1990s...it looked

like a solid 9.4 or 9.6 from the scan and I think it actually was. Unfortunately, the

seller shipped the book in a Mylar (the kind that doesn't have a flap). The book slipped

out of the Mylar in transit, banging up the top right hand corner pretty badly. Not only

that, but the exposed book got stuck on some tape the seller had used in packing the

book. Alas, this previously gorgeous book registered in at a measly VF+ 8.5 when I had

it slabbed a year or two ago. But now I own a CGC 9.6 wp copy, so all is well.

 

Anyway, I never ship my books to CGC in a flapless Mylar because of this incident. Fool

me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...
