Is it a clean pop?

"Can't even tell from inside the mylar"

I'd say (-1.0) Maybe even a qualified grade.

A slightly messy pop (some white fuzz and light creases)

I'd say (-1.5/2.0)

A messy pop (tears/fuzz/strong creases/maybe small pieces out)

I'd say (-2.5/3.0)

how much does this knock down a GA book that is otherwise, let's say, a VF

Either a qualified 8.0 or a blue label 6.0-7.0. I know CGC is trying to move away from using the green label in all but a few circumstances, so I think the blue label is more likely.

Are we talking the cover only? Or have other pages also popped through as well as the cover?

I tend to agree with Scott, I would just like to see it get downgraded accordingly.
