Netmaster-migration
You know I thought the same thing. That it did look a bit better than 4.0. Of course we all know it wouldn't be the first time that a book turned up undergraded.
shiverbones
that is a DREAM 4.0, and a killer cover by frazetta. Its on my hit list as well. To have such a gorgeous black copy as a 4.0, you probably could not have done better for the price.
Netmaster-migration
Oh yeah, I consider myself very lucky. I took one look at it, and I knew that it was simply too good to pass up. I knew I might not get another chance to get it.
Comicdey
I have many of the Tim Holt issues and that's a beauty. congrats. Undergraded in my opinion also.
selegue
Just picked this one up. One of the very earliest appearances of the original Golden Age Ghost Rider in Magazine Enterprise's Tim Holt #17 from May of 1950. ... This particular issue marks the very first time that Ghost Rider was ever featured on an entire cover (a note that is strangely absent from the CGC label). ... Is this also Dean Martin's first cover appearance? It predates the DC series by a couple of years. (How strange -- surely intentional.) shiverbones
hahaha! I'm more inclined to think that was Frank Drawing himself then Deano, but you never know!
topofthetotem
Dean was never that buff. That is a nice copy BTW

I had no idea that Frazetta was a Dean Martin look-alike. http://www.frazettaartgallery.com/ff/bio/1950/1950.html Jack

I'll start a thread on it one day. Nice one CentaurMan (and October, Boy-Wonder)!! Looking forward to the new thread... I have only recently become interested in some of the early SILVER STREAK's, mainly beacuse of Jack Cole's work, the CLAW character, and some Simon art. But I'm sure they have more going for them than that. Looking forward to my #2.

CentaurMan
Nice books! I've never seen a King #13 before. My King collection is from #1-#12. That's a neat cover, and the condition looks really sharp for that era. Well done!
ArAich
Thanks CM...the pages on the KC #13 are near white too...I am very pleased with it and being a Flash Gordon fan methinks I may follow in your footsteps and attempt to aquire the previous issues...
