adamstrange
That looks like Everett being influenced by Don Heck, resulting in a very powerful image. Didn't there used to be an Atom Age thread? Ted Knight
I really like that Navy Combat 8 cover. Don't remember seeing it before. When I got home from work today, I found this little guy on my doorstep: I'm really liking the Hollingsworth art inside. It's simply brilliant. Dick Pontoon
That looks like Everett being influenced by Don Heck, resulting in a very powerful image. Didn't there used to be an Atom Age thread? Just got a few of these; love this Everett cover Makes sense to me; Torpedo Taylor (the Navy's answer to Combat Kelly/Casey/Krinkle et. al., who apparently spends at least one panel in every story pushing buttons and exclaiming "Fire one! Fire two!!! ) depicted on the cover is drawn on the inside by Heck. Heck sure gets a bum rap. He's a fine artist and storyteller, but I think most folks just don't like his sketchy, loose style. But back to the cover; I don't even collect this series, I just stumbled across the cover and had to pick it up.
