What non key Marvels go for the highest over book in VF/NM?

Not a key!

 

Neither is the black-covered Spidey 28...nobody's burning a candle for the Molten Man. Subby 8 and Spidey 28 are desirable issues because they're perceived as being less common than the issues surrounding them, but they're not keys. The CGC Census is compelling evidence that the idea Spidey 28 is more rare in high grade than other Spidey issues might have been dealer hype. It's SOMEWHAT less available, but not a lot less. Silver Surfer 4 is another overhyped issue as being "rare" in high grade to the vastly misunderstood "low distribution" notation in Overstreet.

 

But still, a book like Spidey 28 is hard to buy because dealer/Overstreet hype has increased demand to the point where supply isn't high enough!

When looking at a late silver age collection forsale,some of the Key books I look for are Subby1,8,Cap109,110,113,ASM100-If these are in great shape I figure rest will be also. While books like sub 8 may not be a key book in terms of content, it is key to a nice collectionIMO.

Considered less common in high grade, although for the heavily-submitted Spidey 28, that's very debatable when you look at the census numbers
